It’s no secret that I love brand patterns. They really lend a personal touch to your brand toolkit… and they’re a fun way to show off your brand elements!
But… of all the various brand designs, patterns seem like they don’t get enough love out in the real world.
You put your new logo on your website and hand out beautiful business cards… but somehow the patterns seem to go unused. Today, let’s change that!
Maybe you’re not sure how to use your custom patterns: they’re pretty, but where do you implement them in your brand? Today, I’m listing a few ways you can put your brand pattern to good use (and impress your clients even more with those custom design elements!):
Parallax Images: Patterns are made for scrolling background parallax images! Add them into your website design to break up canvases with a pop of brand design—and it adds a layer of cohesion to your site.
Behind Testimonials or Call-Out Quotes: Add a bit of visual interest behind testimonials or call-out quotes by overlaying your pattern on top of a solid-colored canvas. Upload the white version of your pattern and turn down the opacity for subtle visual interest.
Instagram Story Highlights: Upload a different color for each highlight cover photo. The perfect custom touch!
– Pricing Guide
– Back of Business Cards
– Back of Thank You Notes
– Envelope Liner (nothing looks better on a liner than a custom pattern!)
– Tissue Paper
– Wrapping Paper
– Paper Shopping Bags
– Canvas Drawstring Bags
– Product Labels / Tags
If you get custom-printed fabric, the possibilities are truly endless!
I recommend Spoonflower for easy fabric printing. Get creative with it:
– Camera Straps
– Shop Aprons
– Neckerchief Scarves
– Tea Towels (client gifts, anyone?!)
– Dog Bandanas or Bowties (yes, I am always thinking like a dog mom!)
If you ever have the opportunity to bring any of these pieces to life with a brand pattern, please do! These are such fun ways to display a brand element and create a true branded experience!
– Wallpaper in a studio or storefront
– Pillows for your studio or storefront
– Book endpapers (like your sample album)
– Tote bags (for conference swag or client gifts)
– Office supplies: notebooks, notepads, pens
– Branded phone case design
