The process for custom invitations includes a detailed questionnaire, design consultation, original illustrations, digital proofs, and final review—ultimately resulting in a design that represents your love story alone.

We'll start with a phone call to talk about your love story and your vision for the wedding day. This is the perfect opportunity to fill me in on all the beautiful details that make your love story so special: the way he proposed, or why your venue spoke to your heart. Our phone call is also an ideal time to ask any questions you might have about the process.

After you've signed the dotted line on your Proposal and Contract, you'll receive a Design Questionnaire as "homework" for you to complete. This will collect all the informational details like your wedding date, family names, and venue address.

The Questionnaire also serves as a place to collect any visual details: design aesthetic, pinterest boards, and any details you may wish to include in the suite.

I'll use your Questionnaire answers to begin crafting your custom design. You can expect to see your first round of proofs within two weeks after Questionnaire submission... and I hope you love what you see!

You have two opportunities to request any revisions or tweaks as we hone in on a distinctive design. Once your design concept has been refined and perfected, you'll approve the suite for production—then bring everything to life in print! We'll add any finishing touches like wax seals, silk ribbons, vellum wraps, and calligraphy addressing... then get your beautiful suite mailed out to your guests.

All paper pieces are delivered to you for assembly and mailing. You'll set the tone for a memorable celebration as guests open their personalized envelopes! Process

On average, most Sarah Ann Design brides invest about $2800 total for a set of 150 invitation suites.
Please inquire to receive a customized quote, personalized to your desired quantity of suites.

Please allow 8–10 weeks for the custom design process to be completed, plus 1–2 weeks for print and assembly. Invitations should be mailed 6–8 weeks prior to your wedding day. To learn more about recommended wedding stationery timelines, take a peek at this helpful post.

Pricing for custom invitation design will vary depending on quantity need, paper selection, and luxury print process upgrades. 

In an effort to serve each client to the best of my ability, I take a limited number of invitation design clients per year. I believe in quality over quantity, always. That being said... please inquire early, as my availability is limited. I would love to put your date on my design calendar!
