We’re honing in on your final design and it’s almost time to share it with the world! Launch Day is exciting for you: the culmination of your brand exploration and the official beginning of the next chapter in your business. But it’s also a strategic opportunity to connect with potential clients and create recognition for your new brand image.
To make the most of your new brand, design a launch strategy that will heighten anticipation for the big reveal and ultimately attract new visitors to your site (where you can convert them into clients!).
First things first: let’s make sure your new brand is in place. You’ll want to update your logo in these spots before you announce the new look:
– Website: logo, fonts, colors, additional brand elements throughout
– Social Media Profile Photos: Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, LinkedIn
– Client Management System: Dubsado, Honeybook, etc.
– Collateral: Business Cards, Pricing Guides, Brochures, etc.
– Advertising: Online Vendor Directories, Print Magazines, etc.
– Email Messaging: Email Sequences like Mailchimp or ConvertKit
– Email Signature (click here for my free template to customize your own)
✓ Create an incentive. It may sound harsh, but… your followers don’t care about your new brand as much as you do. They might be slightly interested, but we want to make it irresistible for them to click over to your website! What can you do to make it worth their while? Consider offering a free download, publishing a super helpful blog post, or hosting a giveaway.
✓ Start a countdown. Heighten the anticipation for your new brand with a countdown until launch. Share an Instagram post or story a few days before you plan to officially launch. Need help with the wording? Keep it simple: “We have a surprise in store for you! 3 days to go until the big reveal!”
✓ Share a sneak peek. Create excitement with a little sneak peek of the new design: unveil a brand icon or a close-up of the logo. You might even just share the color palette as a tiny preview of what’s to come. Your followers will have to come back if they want to see the full reveal!
✓ Send an email blast. Do you have an email list? Now’s the time to create an email blast to share the big news and show off your new brand! Be sure to include past clients who need a reminder of how amazing you are. (Don’t have an email list? This is the perfect time to start.)
✓ Share on social media. Share away! Download the Launch Graphics from your Release Folder and share them on your Instagram feed and stories. Share on your Facebook business page and your personal page. And don’t forget to pin your new brand images to Pinterest!
✓ Write a blog post. You want to direct traffic to your website, right? Drumming up interest about your new brand is a great way to invite followers onto your website. The social sneak peek will be enough to pique their interest, but you want them to check out the new brand on your own site (where you can then convert them into clients 😉). Share a bit about the design process and show off the full collection of launch graphics.
✓ Include a CTA (Call to Action). Remember: the entire point of your new brand design is to elevate your look in a way that will convert clients. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to connect with them! Include a CTA at the bottom of the post—and make it personal. For example, “We’ve grown so much over the past five years in business. We started this re-branding journey to uncover a design that would reflect our elevated services: refined processes, more experience, and a style uniquely our own. We’d love to show you what we can do! Click the button below to schedule a consultation with our team.”
✓ Re-share again. As much as we’d like to think everyone sees our posts… the algorithm is trickier than that. Make sure everyone sees the big news by sharing it again a few times during the course of your launch week. Call attention to your favorite little details and ask your audience what they love most about your new design!
✓ Pop the champagne (or wine cork or craft beer bottlecap—whatever suits your fancy). Branding is a lot of work. It takes deep introspection, an honest look at your business, and a healthy dash of courage to refine your brand. You did it!As creative entrepreneurs, we rarely celebrate these milestones with the festivity they deserve. Pour a glass to celebrate and treat yourself to a little celebration… Cheers to the next chapter of your business!
